Austrian Bertold Löffler was a successful ceramics and graphic artist who worked in the Wiener Werkstätte style. He studied in Vienna under such masters of the movement as Carl Otto Czeschka and Koloman Moser and later taught applied arts, painting and print making. His work for the Wiener Werkstätte was varied and included items such as ceramics and costumes and a range of graphics from calendars to bookplates.
He is primarily known for the distinctive designs he created for the Cabaret Fledermaus including fans, staff badges, leather goods, ceramics and posters.
